Within private markets, we allocate capital to both direct investments and funds.

In our direct equity investments, we largely act as passive minority investors. Most of our direct equity placements are strategic and driven by our stakeholder’s strategic motivation to build equity exposure in global champions. Given the nature of these placements, our direct equity investments are most often off-market and bilateral, with a keen focus on a regional partnership that can help advance Abu Dhabi’s positioning as a regional hub for international businesses.

For our fund placements, we deploy capital as part of a wider strategic asset allocation plan. Our team identifies high-caliber managers with proven track record and a compelling investment thesis across our areas of interest. We also selectively explore unique co-investments that meet our broader investment objectives.
